Ceramic production began in the early 9th century CE in the Angkorian core region, and its cross-draft kilns and updraft kiln technology, paste types, and vessel forms evolved over the multi-century tradition. This paper compares kiln morphology, ceramic technology, and vessel form between the potter communities during the 9th –12th century and those in the 13th to 14th century. These kiln sites operated at different times to reveal the shifting kiln technology and ceramic demand across centuries.
