This paper attempts to analyze some aspects of ancient ferrous metallurgy related to the construction and technology of smelting furnaces in India. It was, while smelting copper that man discovered the technology of smelting iron. The technology of smelting copper and iron is closely related to each other Later, they expanded into producing iron to meet their needs. In short, iron appeared from a copper smelting furnace when it reached a temperature higher than that required to extract copper from the ore. In the early days, this smelting activity occurred by chance. There are certain factors that influence the high-quality metal smelting process, especially the supply of fuel and consistent air until the smelting is complete. So this is an attempt to learn about the manufacturing process, smelting process, and different types of furnaces in India.
