At our conference, we are committed to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and safe environment for all participants. We value diverse perspectives and recognise the importance of creating a space where everyone feels welcome to engage in scholarly discourse and networking opportunities. To ensure a positive experience for all attendees, we ask that you adhere to the following code of conduct during all conference activities including talks, panels, workshops, and social events.
Treat all participants with respect and kindness, regardless of their background, identity, or affiliation.
Be open to different viewpoints and engage in constructive dialogue.
Avoid language or behaviour that could be interpreted as discriminatory, harassing, or offensive. This includes in person and on all associated social media.
Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times, whether in sessions, workshops, or social events.
Refrain from engaging in disruptive behaviour that may detract from the conference experience of others.
Speakers and attendees must respect the time allocated to each presentation.
Speakers and attendees must be respectful in their comments and questions.
Respect the boundaries and personal space of others.
Harassment of any kind, including but not limited to verbal, physical, or sexual harassment, will not be tolerated. This can be any unwelcome conduct related to a person’s sex, gender, race, religion, disablitiy, sexual orientation, age and nationality.
Examples of prohibited bahaviour include sexual comments or jokes; repeated, unwelcome advances; stalking; photographing someone without consent in private or restricted spaces; threats or intimidation; and repeated disrupted behaviour.
If you experience or witness harassment, please report it immediately to the conference organizers or staff.
Respect the decision of the speaker with regards the recording of their to whether they wish any of their presentation to not be photographed or shared. If a presenter requests ‘no recording,’ attendees must not phtograph, film or stream that presentation. Presenters may indicate recording preferences on slides or at the start of their session.
Obtain consent before taking photographs, videos, or recordings of individuals.
Respect the privacy of others, including refraining from sharing personal information without consent, including on social media.
Respect the intellectual property rights of presenters and authors.
Properly cite and acknowledge the work of others in your own presentations and discussions.
Conference organizers reserve the right to take appropriate action in response to violations of this code of conduct, including but not limited to warning, expulsion from the conference without refund, and reporting to relevant authorities.
